After much contemplation, communication, etc. it has been decided. I leave on the 16th of June for a year-long trip to the Dominican. I look forward to the opportunities ahead; a chance to play my part in the lives of so many children, a chance to grow in love and faith, a chance to be active and discover what God has in store. It promises to be an exciting and challenging year.

I will be living with a family in the Maria Auxiliadora Barrio, La Vega, and working with TEARS Ministry during this time. I will be helping start up a 'Sponsor a Child' program through the school, allowing overseas supporters to provide for a child living in the barrio. This will involve education, medical care, food and a solid spiritual grounding in Jesus Christ.

I will be involved in photography, web updates/ design, communicating with overseas supporters- perhaps even teaching an art class. I look forward to it. My Spanish has been coming along, I suppose, but I expect it to really grow once I am immersed in the community.

Please pray for me:

-That God would teach me and shape me during this time
-That the people of Maria Auxiliadora would be awakened to God's glory and truth
-For team unity and that TEARS would benefit from my work
-For personal and group health and safety
